MANILA, Philippines - Korean pop sensation 2NE1, with its Filipina artist Sandara Park, arrived in the Philippines on Friday
The group arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 on board an Asiana Airlines flight from Seoul, Korea for a concert at the Araneta Coliseum 7 p.m. on Saturday.
Overzealous unidentified companions of Park started a commotion with airport-based journalists when it shoved and prevented cameramen and photographers from taking pictures and video footage.
A Korean wearing an arrival VIP Pass, identified as Park Sung, even bragged that he can have the cameraman dismissed from his work
A staff of Pulp Live Production was also photographed displaying her bad finger to airport journalists.
Because of the rude behavior of Park and her companions, Customs officials subjected the entourage of 2NE1 to rigid Customs examination before they were allowed to leave the airport
Pandemonium almost broke out when a few hundred fanatics of 2NE1 waiting outside the airport terminal almost over ran a phalanx of airport security.
Dante Basanta, NAIA Terminal 1 manager, said that they will formally write a letter to the event organizer Pulp Live Production for breach of security since the 2NE1 welcoming party wearing arrival VIP Pass should not have been able to roam in the supposed restricted areas of the airport.
Basanta said they are also calling the attention of Pulp Live Production for mishandling airport journalists covering the event.
